5 Top beaches in Pattaya that you should visit

Pattaya is most certainly a holiday destination with beautiful beaches and the most popular ones being Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach. However, both locals and some Pattaya veteran travelers would know that there many more beautiful beaches hidden around Pattaya area, some more secluded and some more crowded. Here is a list of recommended beaches that you should visit if you are in Pattaya.

  1. Tien Beach, Koh Larn

Take a day trip to Koh Larn, just a few minutes boat ride from Bali Hai pier and once arrived at Koh Larn, you can either rent a motorbike or take a baht bus to Tien Beach. White and sift sandy beach, clear blue sea, seafood and drinks are available for you to order. Enjoy this beautiful place for a day or stay overnight.

  1. Dongtan Beach Pattaya

Once you have arrived at Jomtien beach, turn right instead of left and you will arrive at Dongtan beach. A more secluded area than Jomtien beach with golden color sand. Take a long walk and stop by the different bars and restaurants along the road, or spend time by the beach with a lot of space for beach swimmers. (Might need to note that Dongtan is also very male/gay oriented beach)

  1. Haad Sai Keaw (Sattahip)

This is an exclusive beach taken care by the Navy base in Sattahip therefore the entrance and exit timing is very strict and cleanliness is also very strict for all visitors to take care of the beach while enjoying it (which should naturally e a common practice in all beaches). Here there are many activities like jet ski and kayak for rent. Food and beverages are available.

  1. Bangsaray beach

Further down from Pattaya towards Nongnuch garden before reaching Sattahip, you will find bangsaray beach. It is one of the quietest beaches in Pattaya where you can truly enjoy peaceful environment and relax. In Bangsaray you will find beach activities such as banana boat ride, take a stroll along the beach or simply roll out your beach towels and enjoy the sun. At the end of the day you can enjoy dining at some of the best seafood restaurants in the area and during the day there are also food stalls for snacks and drinks.

  1. Wongamat beach

This beach is located towards Naklua area with about 3 km of curved beach to take a nice stroll and plenty of space to spend the day. Some parts could be rocky, however most of the beach is sandy. Great for family with young kids as there are not so many water activities with motor going on which is fairly safer for children. Naklua area is also an old fisherman village and local lifestyle where you can make an exploration after the time at the beach.
